EcoInsight is a student-driven platform founded in 2024 by Tara Tony dedicated to raise awareness about environmental issues and inspire meaningful action. Through articles, research highlights, and community engagement, it empowers young people to explore biodiversity, conservation, and sustainability challenges in an accessible way. EcoInnovate, an initiative of EcoInsight, takes this mission further by providing students with a hands-on opportunity to design and implement innovative environmental projects. Together, they nurture curiosity, foster scientific thinking, and encourage the next generation of leaders to create practical solutions for a healthier planet.

Our Mission

EcoInsight exists to:

Spark curiosity about biodiversity and environmental science
Equip young people to design creative, meaningful climate solutions
Build an inclusive community of student innovators and changemakers
Provide accessible research, mentorship, and opportunities to take action

Our Journey

2024 — EcoInsight Launch + First EcoInnovate Competition

EcoInsight started in 2024 as a way for me to make environmental research accessible and engaging for students. I published articles on biodiversity loss, conservation, and sustainability to build awareness.

That same year, I launched the first EcoInnovate Competition, which focused on research papers and invention models. Students explored real-world environmental challenges through investigation and hands-on innovation.

2025 — EcoInnovate Evolves into App Design

In 2025, EcoInnovate expanded into a national app wireframe design competition, challenging students in grades 7–12 to create digital solutions that help people live more eco-friendly lives. This shift reflects how technology and design-thinking can empower youth to turn ideas into impact.

2025–2026 — Growing Impact & Expanding the Team

After running EcoInsight independently since its founding, I am now building a student leadership team and partnering with mentors, educators, and organizations to expand our competitions, webinars, and educational content.
