EcoInnovate Competition
What is EcoInnovate?
EcoInnovate is a nationwide, environmental-themed competition that encourages students in grades 7 through 12 in the United States to use innovation to promote a sustainable future. By taking part in EcoInnovate, students will address pressing environmental issues facing the globe and demonstrate how their concepts can lead to practical solutions. Participants in EcoInnovate 2025 will explore the fascinating intersection between sustainability and technology, learning how innovative, digital ideas can motivate communities to lead more eco-friendly lives.
Design an App for a Greener Tomorrow
Prompt
This year’s prompt invites students to design an app wireframe that helps people build more eco-friendly lives. From carbon tracking to recycling and energy conservation, participants will create a design that inspires real-world impact.
🌿 What’s a Wireframe?
A wireframe is a simple visual blueprint of your app idea. It shows what your screens look like, where buttons go, and how users move through your app — No coding required.

Rules
Each participant will create an app wireframe prototype consisting of at least five screens, with arrows showing what button leads where. You can design your wireframe using platforms like Figma, Miro, Canva, or others.

Fuel Creativity
Participants join David Curran from Figma for an interactive session on how design thinking fuels creativity. Hear from VisionnaireX mentors about turning bold ideas into reality through innovation and leadership. Participants who attend and apply their insights will be better prepared to stand out in the EcoInnovate.
