Q: What is the EcoInnovate Competition?
A: The EcoInnovate Competition is a project-based contest designed to inspire high school students to engage in environmental conservation. Participants are encouraged to develop innovative solutions to address biodiversity loss and promote sustainability.
Q: Who can participate in the competition?
A: Students in grades 7–12 from across the United States who are interested in sustainability, technology, or innovation are welcome to join.
Q: How do I register for the competition?

Q: How can I stay informed about upcoming events and deadlines?
A: When you register for the competition or a webinar, you’ll automatically receive email updates with reminders, recordings, and important announcements.

Q: Are the webinars or masterclasses free to attend?
Yes! All EcoInnovate masterclasses and webinars are completely free. They’re designed to help students learn about sustainability, app design, and innovation while preparing their submissions.

Q: Do I have to register for the competition to attend a webinar?
No. Anyone interested can register for a webinar, even if they haven’t signed up for the competition yet. However, we highly encourage participants to join the competition after the webinar to put what they learn into action.

Q: What will I learn during the masterclass?
Each session will feature guest speakers and mentors discussing sustainable innovation, eco-friendly app design, and project-planning strategies. You’ll also get insider tips on creating impactful submissions and standing out in the judging process.

Q: Will the webinar be recorded?
Yes. Recordings will be shared afterward with everyone who registers, so you can revisit the material or catch up if you couldn’t attend live.
Q: How will the projects be judged?
A: Projects will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, impact, and presentation. A panel of judges with expertise in technology, environmental science and sustainability will review the submissions.
Prizes and Recognition
Q: What are the prizes for the winners?
Winners will receive mentorships, fellowships, or access to specialized sustainability or innovation programs sponsored by our partner organizations. Each prize is designed to help students grow their projects or explore new skills in sustainability, design, and technology.

Q: When and how will winners receive their prizes?
Winners will be announced on January 26, and prize engagement—such as mentorship sessions or program access—will begin shortly after. Exact start dates are flexible and arranged directly with each sponsor to fit the winner’s schedule.

Q: Who provides the prizes?
Our prizes are generously sponsored by partner organizations committed to sustainability and youth innovation. Sponsors may include research institutes, environmental tech companies, and mentorship programs. Each winner will be contacted directly by the respective sponsor to coordinate details.

Q: Will winners have to pay for the prize programs?
No. All prizes are fully sponsored. If any optional extended learning opportunities are offered, sponsors will communicate those directly to the winners.
